Letter To Senator Tom Coburn Asking him to Protect 2nd Amendment

Good day Sir,

First, thank you for your time.

My name is Tom Maerling and I am writing to ask you to please see to it that our 2nd Amendment is not allowed to be circumvented or ignored when congress resumes.

I am truly amazed that any Senator could or would mention confiscation of firearms from the American people. The talk of banning over 120 firearms is no less extraordinary and disgusting.

For the first time in my life I feel like I am lying to my 3 boys when I tell them we live in the greatest country on Earth. It seems to me that we are governed by tyrants. The total lack of respect, and even the overwhelming lack of will to acknowledge our Constitution even exists when making governing proposals, is absolutely surreal.

Please tell me you believe the American people are governed by the United States Constitution and that you know for a fact that our congress-people are restrained from making governing laws which violate our Constitution.

Please tell me also that you will put your job on the line to defend the Constitution from the tyrants in congress that you work side by side with.

And let me ask you to stop being polite and or civil to those representatives of the American people that would even suggest a gun grab in the United States of America. I know it is supposed to be ‘uncivil’ to call your fellow Senators names, but when in fact that name is true and accurate, it is not uncivil. When being civil, for the sake of being civil, creates a greater danger to the citizenry than it does a courtesy to the recipient then it is time to put truth and accuracy above civility.

Civility that allows for the bolder talk of tyranny to spew from a tyrant’s mouth and an increased abuse of office may be civil between you and your colleague, but it is uncivil to the American citizenry. I believe it is your duty to call these people out for what they are.

It is time to put the shame back on the people that want to defile our Constitution and celebrate those that wish to defend it. To be clear Sir, when a United States Senator speaks of confiscating or mandating buy-backs of the American citizenry’s firearms then that U.S. Senator is defiling the U.S. Constitution.  Any Senator of the United States of America that would defile the Constitution in order to strip the American citizenry of their right to keep and bear arms ‘without infringement’ is indeed a tyrant.

If our founding fathers were with you today Sir, I am certain they would tell you that a U.S. Senator speaking about confiscation or mandated buy-backs of the American citizenry’s firearms is exactly why the American citizenry needs not only semi-automatic weapons but fully automatic weapons.

The only deal you should cut with these tyrants when it comes to our 2nd Amendment is this: If they get the votes to amend the Constitution then you will abide by the new amendment when proposing new legislation, but until then, you expect them to abide by the current Constitution and not bring any legislation forward that infringes on the right of the people to keep and bear arms.

In the end I hope this is just a ploy by President Obama to stimulate the economy via a run on guns. If it is, give him congratulations from me. If it isn’t, I hope you can do something to convince me I am not lying to my children.

I have one question. Are any of the people sitting around crying about not being able to buy semis or about the tyrants suggesting confiscation ready to march on Washington or even their own State Capitols?

All I see happening is a bunch of people whining about what firearms they’ll no longer be able to buy. And then there are the ones like me who RT, repost, share, RT, repost share, RT, repost, share. Well it’s just not enough for me anymore. I’m sick of my inaction and I’m sick of all the whining.

In March of 2012 I said to hell with my fears and gave my first ever public speech and it contained this sample of what I predict will be a -future- letter from our soldiers.

A letter from a soldier…….“why father, why brother, why my mother and sister did you sleep at home, while we fought abroad? Why did you allow the shredding of our Declaration and Constitution from within, while we so dearly protected you & it from abroad?”

In other words folks if we do not get off our rear-ends and do something this is the type of letters that families will receive from their beloved troops serving abroad. The same troops, and their families, that we are letting down by sitting idle while these tyrants in congress are spitting all over the Constitution. And when they’re not spitting on it then they are shredding it or ignoring it, like it doesn’t even exist.

If you and I claim to have any respect and or appreciation for our troops, our veterans, and love for our children then we will march.   I’m going on January 3rd when the new congress is seated. There is supposed to be a march on the 21st, but that is too far off and not about the 2nd Amendment.

I would prefer to go and be lost in a sea of my fellow Americans, but I will go and look like a jackass standing all alone if that is the case; I know longer care. I just know I am sick of myself for not taking any actions against these tyrants.


For those of you talking crap about let them come and try it. Well that is asinine. Because when they send a dozen troops to knock in your door you are beat.  (See Katrina gun confiscation & see the 2,700 MRAP’s bought by the Dept. Homeland Security)

So If you want to win this then let’s get together en masse and show the politicians what the 2nd Amendment voting bloc looks like. Let’s show up like the Communist/Liberals in bus loads and see if we can put some constitutional spine back in our politicians.

If in the end we need to take another path to replace the tyrants with a new guard, as the Declaration of Independence says is our right and our DUTY, then so be it. If the word “confiscation” coming from our politicians mouths isn’t tyranny than I don’t know what it is.

If our 2nd Amendment isn’t worth a few days off than I don’t know what is?  I’m going for a peaceful demonstration on Thurs. Jan 3rd, I’ll see you there, or not.

I advise you to stop sitting around and pretending like this isn’t happening because it is. I also advise you to stop letting them silence you. I am leaving this world knowing I did everything I could to pass freedom on to our children. For me to do that it will require more than social networking.

Protecting Our Schools, Our Children, and Our Constitution

Here is a plan  I was working on for protecting the schools, the children, and
the Constitution. I believe it’s possible to be done with volunteers.

All volunteers should be from community if possible.

NO Uniforms – Environment must stay as natural as possible -NO Uniforms.

Community volunteers on the inside of building should have conceal carry permits (CCP)

Community volunteers on the outside, CCP optional.

Anyone w/out CCP can be the eyes and ears, warning CCP volunteers on the inside and phoning local police of approaching threat.

Community members with children enrolled in the school will be given first consideration for volunteering.

If the proper outside watch is installed no incident should ever make it to the interior of a school.

Background checks on volunteers to include domestic abuse, child abuse, child molestation, etc.
Some level of certification may be warranted. Something for response training?

Also fire drill type preparedness drills in school. (I have to find the article and credit the person for fire drill idea)

This is all in addition to permitting teachers to CC in school if they choose.
If enough teachers participate we may not need additional volunteers.

Perhaps wall mounted lock boxes (lock boxes out of sight) can be used once the teacher enters class or locked closets so as the gun is not left in unattended pocketbooks or desk draws.
Locks should not affect reaction time as outside volunteers should be able to forewarn
well in advance.

Feel free to add, correct, and or point out any holes in this plan as this is not my specialty; just my opinion of the direction to go.
Any criticism that benefits the kids and the constitution is more than welcome.

Our Right to Live FREE of Tyranny -DID NOT- End With The Defeat of The British.

On December 20, in the aftermath of the Newtown, Connecticut school murders, the Village of Ellenville held an emergency board meeting to hear the public’s response on the Mayor’s proposal to ban firearms in the village. According to the Daily Freeman the meeting “drew 99 people, 29 of whom spoke.”
I was one of the 99 in attendance and one of the 29 who spoke that night and this is my eye witness account.

Though there were many opinions on what caused the tragedy in Newtown, and how to prevent it from happening in our area, the 2nd Amendment and the prevention of its violation became the dominant topic of the night.

Of the 29 who spoke all were opposed to the board implementing a ban on firearms. There were varying ideas and degrees of ideas on how to make the children safer but all 29 speakers agreed that violating the 2nd Amendment was not the way.

Of the 99 in attendance I did not witness one person raise their hand or signal in any manner of agreement with the Mayor’s proposal to violate the 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution.

It is not just the opinion of this eyewitness and speaker, as Tracey Baxter, reporter and journalist for the Times Herald Record, draws the same conclusion in his report:

“Ellenville Mayor, Jeff Kaplan, had called a special village board meeting… What he didn’t hear was a public outcry for some type of weapons ban instead those who spoke out during the standing room only informational meeting challenged the need for gun control- legislation saying it would do nothing to reduce violent crime and would infringe on the constitutional rights of law abiding gun owners.”

So with the obvious consensus that there should be NO firearm ban from the 29 people who spoke, and the apparent consensus from the 99 people who showed up, you would expect to hear the mayor step back from his proposed unconstitutional firearms ban.

Instead, immediately following the meeting – much to my dismay, and not at all to my surprise – the mayor decided to ignore the voice of, we the people, and continued onward with his unconstitutional proposal when he announced, during a YNN News interview, “I think there’s some ways that we can look into tightening up the rules and regulations regarding gun ownership and um, guns within the community”.

This ladies and gentlemen is what America has come to, our words and input into our own community and the laws which will govern our lives are completely ignored.  We no longer have a voice.

Add to this the fact that the governor of New York has stated that “Confiscation could be an option… Mandatory sale to the state could be an option [and] Permitting could be an option…”

and there is absolutely no question that the representatives of N.Y. are confusing the Empire State for the Ottoman Empire and confusing themselves for the tyrants in control and not the simple little elected officials they are.

The country in which we now live, is not only -not- a republic, it is not even a democracy. We are now being ruled by tyrants in a communist government. Please don’t let the fact that we go to a voting booth and elect these people convince you otherwise. We are being attacked by tyrannical elected officials and their accomplices in the main stream media.

Before I completed this article another article was published that a N.Y news agency publicly listed the names & addresses of pistol permit holders; it included an interactive map whereby you can “click on any one of the dots and get the full name and exact address of the permit holder.”

These sick deranged Democrat extremists, are now putting targets on our families’ backs. It is time for Americans to stand up and take back their country as the Declaration of Independence not only declares, it is our “right”, but so ORDERS, it is our “duty” to do.

“That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.”

We are now passed “light and transient causes” and well entrenched in “a long train of abuses and usurpations.”  So, it is now “[our] right and [our] duty… to provide new guards.”

If these despots wish to rule by fiat as despots do, then let them amend the Constitution as is required. Then, we the people can have no quarrel and no recourse (but to amend it back again) for the Constitution is the Law.

However, as long as they are violating the Constitution and Declaration of Independence by “usurping” our rights and properties as they are now proposing in N.Y. and in both houses of the U.S. congress, we have the right to defend said rights and properties by all means necessary. Even if 300 million out of 350 million citizens asked our elected subordinates to make a law ending free speech they are not permitted to do so unless they first add an amendment to the Constitution either rescinding or overriding the first amendment.

As the title of this article says, our right to live FREE of tyranny did NOT end with the defeat of the British, but because our politicians and our Liberal dominated schools have so skillfully omitted and or removed the Constitution from law making and public learning a whole generation has been manipulated into thinking we the people are to be governed by our elected officials.

In fact though, we the people are to be governed by the Constitution of the United States of America. Our elected subordinates are only there to carry our message because 300+ million people cannot fit into one room. And as I stated above not even 300 million people have the right to violate the Constitution, only to amend it.


I want to thank my wife for helping me bring this story to life. She typed the 1st draft for me as we drove out to Pennsylvania the other day.

While I was dictating it to her I literally broke down in tears as the realization of the condition of my kids future started to hit me. I have slept far too long. I have not only let their future fall into the hands of tyrants from the Democrat, Republican, and most deranged of them all Liberal/Democrat parties I have also let the sacrifices of our dauntless military veterans be for naught.

Personal message the children and veterans of America:
I apologize to you all and hope I can redeem myself by helping to re-secure the America our children were guaranteed and the America our veterans sacrificed for. I do not know if this can be done before I die, but I pledge this to you: From here on out I will not stop fighting for you until one or the other happens.

To the American elected officials: I want to share these wise words from Ammoland.com.
“Reflect on our gun laws and future bills thoughtfully, as the consequences of your decisions will affect the civil rights of every inhabitant within our United States of America. As a constituent, I can make this promise to you…I will donate time and money for campaigns in every upcoming election. I will donate time and money to participate in every grass roots effort to defend the Second Amendment. I will donate time and money to pursue every legal course of action against those who attempt to infringe on my right to keep and bear arms.”

I will add just one thing to the above words: Never forget you are bound by the United States Constitution and if you think the Constitution is preventing you from applying a necessary policy then AMEND it, DO NOT circumvent it because that would disqualify you and the policy from being relevant.

Also to our elected officials remember these wise words by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.:
“There are two types of laws: just and unjust. I would be the first to advocate obeying just laws.
One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws.
Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws. I would agree with St. Augustine that “an unjust law is no law at all.””

The Words & Stories Government Media Wants Hidden

At this very moment in a cemetery in Southern Denver – Chapel Hill Cemetary – they’re erecting 13 crosses that I think are well known across the country, as a permanent memorial at the head of my daughter’s grave. And my heart really longs to be there with my children, Bethany and her husband Don, Dana, Craig, and Mike, but it’s with their blessing that I’m here today, and I appreciate that.

I realize that I’m a mere pawn in today’s hearings, but I’m a willing pawn, because I dare to believe that I can make a difference. Every once in awhile, a pawn has been used to checkmate a king. I have no hidden agenda, and of course I have no political aspirations. I simply speak to you as a brokenhearted father, and I only ask that you allow your heart to hear me for the next few minutes.

Since the dawn of creation, there has been both good and evil in the hearts of men and women, and we all contain those seeds: We contain the seeds of kindness and we contain the seeds of violence. And the death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joyce Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other 11 children who died, must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.

The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used, neither was it the NCA – the National Club Association – the true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in his heart. In the days that followed the Columbine tradgedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA, I am not a hunter, I do not even own a gun, I’m not here to represent or to defend the NRA, because I don’t believe they are responsible for my daughter’s death, therefore I don’t believe they need to be defended by me. If I believed that they had anything to do with Rachel’s murder, I would be their strongest opponent. I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tradgedy, it was a spiritual event which should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies. Much of that blame lies here in this room – much of that blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves.

I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expressed my feelings best, and it was written before I knew that I would be speaking here today, and I’d like to read that:

    “Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
   Your words are empty air.
   You’ve stripped away our heritage,
   You’ve outlawed simple prayer.
   Now gunshots fill our classrooms, and precious children die.  
   You seek for answers everywhere,
   And ask the question “Why?”
   You regulate restrictive laws,
   Through legislative creed.
   And yet you fail to understand,
   That God is what we need!”

Men and women are three part beings: we have a body, and we have a soul, and we have a spirit … And I believe we fail to recognize that third element, that really does need to be recognized by the legislative bodies of this country, that’s been ignored for so long. Spiritual influences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation’s history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries, and we know this is a historic fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We’ve refused to honor God, and in doing so we opened the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine’s tradgedy occurs, politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that continue to erode away our personal and private liberties.

We don’t need more restrictive laws. Erik and Dylan would not have been stopped by more gun laws or metal detectors. No amount of laws can stop someone who spends months of planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts. Political posturing and restrictive legislation are not the answers. The young people of our nation hold the key, and there is a spiritual awakening that is taking place that will not be squelched. We don’t need more religion, we don’t need more gaudy television evangelists spewing out verbal religious garbage, we do not need more million dollar church buildings built while people’s basic needs are being ignored. We do need a change of heart and a humble acknowledgement that this nation was founded on the principle of simple trust in God.

When my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he didn’t hesitate to pray in school, and I defy any law or politician to deny him that right. I challenge every young person in America and around the world to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School, prayer was brought back to our schools. Don’t let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millenium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your conscience and denies your God-given right to communicate with Him.

And to those of you who would blame the NRA, I give to you a sincere challenge: dare to examine your own heart before you cast the first stone. My daughter’s death will not be in vain: the young people of this country will not allow that to happen. And remember that even a pawn in a master’s hand can accomplish much.

Speaking Out Against Ellenville Gun Ban and The Tyrants Who Propose It

My Speech at Village of Ellenville Board Meeting on Banning of Firearms In Response to Newtown Shootings 12/20/2012


Times Herald Record reported:

“Ellenville Mayor Jeff Kaplan isn’t waiting around for Washington to take action in the wake of the Newtown shootings. He’s called a special meeting of the Village Board to discuss legislation that would ban possession of handguns, assault and semi-automatic weapons. Kaplan said in a press release he was fed up with the lack “of any meaningful attempt to prevent similar acts in the future.””It’s time for municipalities to take up the issue of gun control,” he told the Times Herald-Record. “We’ve got to get a local conversation going.”



Once again politicians look to punish and decrease the safety of law abiding citizens in order to make themselves feel good about doing something in the face of tragedy. I say this because gun-control and gun bans have been proven time and time again to harm the law abiding citizens and embolden the criminals, so there is no other reason to enact these laws, but to make oneself feel good.

14-year-old Phoenix boy shoots armed intruder while babysitting siblings June 23, 2012  By: Joe Newby

In June of 2012 a 14-year-old Phoenix Arizona boy shot a 37yr old armed man who busted in his front door in an attempted afternoon home invasion.  The kid was babysitting 3 siblings; ages 8, 10 and 12.
The incident began with a woman ringing the doorbell and the kid ignoring it because he did not recognize the woman. The 14 yr old then heard the door being busted in and grabbed his father’s gun and rushed the kids upstairs.
“While at the top of the stairs, he saw” the armed man break through the front door. The boy fired, wounding and stopping the home invader in his tracks. He took his siblings to the neighbors and called the cops.

If your proposed ban was in place in Phoenix this story could have ended in any number of ways. The beating, kidnapping, rape, and or murder of four children being the worse, but at the least it would have ended with this family being robbed of  their property. Instead, thanks to a gun and a trained and educated 14yr old, this family lost no property or life and saw no harm come to these kids.

Suzanna Gratia Hupp testified before congress how Texas legislation resulted in the death of her parents and 20 others. The law, alleged to make citizens safer, prevented her from carrying her revolver into the restaurant where she ate with her parents.
So when a lunatic crashed his truck through the window and began slowly and methodically shooting patrons, her gun was locked in her glove box and she and all the other law abiding patrons were left defenseless because people like yourselves thought it would be a good idea to prevent citizens from carrying their firearms.  20 more were injured and 20 or more escaped that day.
Can I guarantee that if Miss Hupp and even a few others of the more than 60 present had been in possession of their firearms there would not have been 22 dead. No. But I can guarantee they would have at least had chance to save themselves as opposed to sitting there like helpless targets.  And I can also guarantee that Victoria Soto and  the other teachers who died shielding their students in Newtown would have a much greater chance of being with us today if they had a gun in their hand.


18yr old single mother Sarah McKinley and her 3 month old in Oklahoma are alive, unbeaten, unmolested, and  in full possession of their property today because she had access to her firearms when two men, one wielding a twelve inch knife, busted into her home. She shot and killed the garbage with the knife and the other one ran. “ABC reported that McKinley was on the phone with 911 for 21 minutes.”

90-year-old Jay Leone of California stopped a home invasion by shooting the burglar even after he himself was shot  in the face by the burglar.

There are also video and data from the UK and Australia warning of the increase in crime on law abiding citizens because the criminals know that they are unarmed.

These stories are just a few that show teaching and training in proper gun use are the true  means of  deterring crime on, and saving the lives of, innocent law abiding citizens.
Whereas, gun bans and gun-control are the best way to increase crime against, and murder of, innocent law abiding citizens.

If you really want the community to be safer, then this board should advocate for family training and educational programs on the proper care, storage, and use of firearms.  This way we can all be as prepared as the 14yr old in phoenix.
You may also want to send home fliers to parents explaining what Proximal Abandonment is.

 On the Village of Ellenville website it say under:
“With the magnitude of the impact the Trustee’s duties have on the peoples’ rights and property it is essential that the trustee be accountable for his/her actions.”
You need to remember those words when you strip the right of the people to protect themselves.

During the recent drug seizure at least 3 of those arrested were gang members.  Is this board expecting gang members and the other criminals in this area to abide by a firearm ban?
If the answer is no, which it obviously is, then this board has no right to disarm the law abiding citizens and prevent them from protecting their families.

When you deny a person the means of self defense you deny a person the right to self defense.

If this board passes this unconstitutional ban of firearms it will leave me with 2 options.

 1st– I abide by the law and allow my family and propety to become helpless prey for the predators who will absolutely thank you for making their jobs easier.
2– I cease being a law abiding citizen and become a criminal because this board leaves me no choice but to purchase and/or possess firearms illegally in order to keep my family protected.

I will choose option 2 as I refuse to relinquish my right to protect my family and property to this or any other board.

 So your ban in fact:
Will not reduce crimes by criminal citizens.
It will increase crimes against law abiding citizens.
It will force normally law abiding citizens to become criminals in order to protect their families and properties.
 I’ll leave you with these words by Martin Luther King Jr.

Request for signatures to stop anti-2nd Amendment politicians.

Remind your congressmen that the 2nd Amendment is not on the table for their self serving feel-good negotiating games.
Can we please sign and share these 3 petitions? We should overwhelm the reactionists in Congress before they begin their quest to further shred the Constitution.

-The fact that our sacrifice to keep freedom is nothing compared to the men/women and literally children of the Revolutionary War who sacrificed life/limb/family for us to have our freedoms.

– We owe it to the men & women serving overseas today to protect our Constitution and liberties from within our borders as they protect them from outside our borders.

– I’m embarrassed and ashamed of myself when explaining to my kids why the Communist/Liberals, who we know are destroying our kids country/future continuously make us look non-existent when it comes to marching on, petitioning, persuading our politicians.

– If we do not secure these freedoms for our children then we are a disgrace. And more importantly if we do not have the courage and strength to do this now, PROACTIVELY, then where are we going to find the greater courage and strength necessary to do what will need to be done REACTIVELY.

Those are some of the reasons I no longer fear and refuse to stop speaking my mind. Those are the reasons I am in my 2nd week of no NFL. And those are the reasons why I told my sister inlaw (who I truly love) to go back to her sandbox and reinsert her head after she told me I need to give it a rest. But, I also explained to her it is not I who need to give it a rest it is she and those like her who need to stop resting.

And as for you tough guys and gals that think they are going to have to “pry them from your cold dead hands” you better take another look because they are prying your warm fingers one by one from your guns. And even if our generation slips by with our hands still on our guns, what are we doing to make sure our kids enjoy the same freedoms of having their fingers secured around their guns?

You can hate the Left because of their anti-gun actions, but you better hate yourself more because of your inactions.

In no way should you think I am writing this because I feel I am better than any of you. Like I said I am ashamed of myself. I am writing this because I need your help to give my kids, and their kids, a chance at living in the Amreica we grew up in. And as far as N.Y. is concerned, more free than the one I grew up in.

Letter to Proctor & Gamble for Sponsoring MSNBC hate speech



I’m writing today to on behalf of my family to inform you of our decision to no longer purchase any P & G products due to your sponsorship of the MSNBC News programs. We can no longer stand by while our family is denigrated by continuous repugnant insults and false accusations being slung at my wife and I and more importantly our children.

We raised three children to be tolerant of others and of others differing viewpoints. We proudly receive compliments from teachers and community members of how well mannered our children are. My family is caring and giving and since the oldest was a teen all three of our children have participated in fundraising for local projects and have donated their time and labor to such projects as building the community playground. Quite frankly as their parents we believe our children are pretty spectacular members of society.

But, because we believe differently than the people at MSNBC on how big of a role government should play in the lives of individuals and that government should rein in spending and live within budget like all the working families across this country we are consciously and falsely portrayed by MSNBC as intolerant racist bigots. The hateful incivility and slanderous name calling by MSNBC due to our political convictions can no longer be tolerated.

We can only assume at worse that P&G also feels our family is made up of a bunch of racist bigots or at best P&G simply thinks it is okay for MSNBC to denigrate our family as you seem content to sponsor their messaging with P&G brands product ads.

It is for this reason we will no longer be purchasing any P&G products until we are clearly convinced that you respect our family and appreciate the fact that we choose to make P&G a part of our family. The easiest way to convince us you appreciate our family’s patronage would be to publicly denounce the incivility at MSNBC and announce your decision to no longer support their messaging with your ads. However, of course, you have the right to react to my concerns however you see fit.

Our two oldest are now making lives of their own and have agreed to stand with us on this very important matter. Therefore, they too will discontinue purchasing P&G products.
Before we close, I want to stress this is not a light decision for us as via the attached photo you can see we enjoy quite a number of P&G products (plus others not pictured) and on a more personal note, I have used nothing but Crest toothpaste for as long as I can remember, my guess is at least 33 years, it is the only toothpaste in our home since my wife and I met (23yrs), and the mouths of my children -22,20,17yrs old- have never tasted a toothpaste other than Crest. It is also what we send out in the care packages for our Troops and recently to the victims of hurricane Sandy.

We will most certainly miss P&G products, but cannot possibly support you while you are supporting those that spew hate at us and falsely slander our family.

Letter For Benghazi Investigation and Response from Schumer

To my Honorable Congresspersons,

On September 11, 2012, American interests abroad were under attack by radical Islamic jihadists. The result of this attack was not only the burning down and ransacking of American consulates and embassies throughout the Middle East. The end result included the atrocious, violent deaths of 4 Americans. Stand with us in fighting for these 4 men who gave all.

Despite asking for reinforcements to help the consulate that was under attack, the Obama Administration denied the requests. Why? Then, within hours of learning about these attacks, President Obama went to campaign in Las Vegas, New York, and Hollywood.

Time and emails continue to point to the fact that not only did President Obama know about what happened, he and his team watched it in the Situation Room. The American people deserve to know if the Obama Administration attempted to hide the truth of what he knew and when he knew it. Did he lie to the American people because the truth was an inconvenience to his ongoing campaign?

Up to now there has clearly been nothing but obfuscation, at best. Ambassador Stevens, State Dept. Agent Sean Smith, and Former Navy SEALS Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods deserve better than to be layed to rest with unanswered questions. Who gave the order to stand down? Another simple question with no answer.

In the name of the fallen heroes can you please assist us in the fight to bring the truth about Benghazi out into the public light? Are you willing to stand up for those 4 gentlemen that can no longer speak for themselves?

I am hoping my congressional representatives will be willing to do what the 4th Estate refuses to do; an investigation of the facts. Please give our fallen heroes the respect they deserve and see to it these questions are not left unresolved as seems to be the direction it is going in.

Whether the result is exoneration or condemnation please give the fallen heroes and the American people the definitive answers the deserve.

     Thank you for wiring to express your concern for United State citizens and our Embassies abroad in the wake of the recent attack which claimed the life four Americans. I am profoundly saddened by this tragedy. I share your concern for our diplomats in their noble work and remain committed to the safety of Americans overseas.
     As you are aware, the United States Embassy in Libya was stuck by a terrorist attack resulting in the deaths of four Americans in Libya, including Ambassador Chris Stevens and Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith. My thoughts and prayers are with their families and friends and all whose lives were touched by these outstanding American patriots. As President Obama noted, Ambassador Stevens was a courageous and exemplary representative of the United States. Throughout the Libyan revolution, he selflessly served our country and the Libyan people at our mission in Benghazi. All four of these brave Americans demonstrated our nation’s commitment to freedom, democracy and dignity. The sacrifice of these brave Americans will not be forgotten.
     There is absolutely no justification for this malicious act. I support the actions of this administration in in increasing security at diplomatic posts around the world and promise to hunt down and bring to justice these vicious murderers.
